The data mining process at Seshaasai

  • The process begins by customers expressing the need to use CRM and historical data to target a particular product, offer(s), segment of customers etc. For example before a launch of a Life Insurance product targeted exclusively for Woman, or customers having premium >200,000 per annum etc.
  • The database in question may be part of a larger database or might be an exclusive data set provided by the client. Multiple input files could be considered for this activity.
  • The records representing this targeted segment might be siphoned off into a separate database table or a SQL query script that represents the desired customers who might identify the records.
  • The selected groups of customers are then scored using a predictive model picked from Seshaasai’s library or may have been exclusively designed for this project.
  • The scores are placed in a table linked to every customer ID.
  • Customers are now sorted using the score value. The top 25% may be chosen or targeted for this offer. These prospective records are then identified and linked in the master database for targeted communication or specific operational purpose.
